  • Browser type, device and operating system
  • Internet service provider
  • Pages visited, time spent and links clicked
  • Referring and exit pages, date and time of visit

We use this information to understand how readers use the site, keep it secure and improve our content.

3. How we use your information

  • To show advertising that keeps the site free (see section 5)
  • To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to remember preferences, measure traffic and serve and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

5. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Our advertising partners may use cookies, JavaScript or web beacons that automatically receive your IP address. We do not control these cookies; please read the privacy policies of those partners for details on their practices and opt-out options.

6. Third-party services we use

  • Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics / Site Kit (traffic measurement)

7. Emails

Newsletter subscriptions use double opt-in: you will only receive our emails after you click the confirmation link we send. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. If you buy a product, we send you transactional emails about that purchase, including your download link, even if you are not subscribed to the newsletter.

8. Affiliate links

Some articles contain affiliate links. If you click one, the merchant may set a cookie to record that you came from our site, so we can earn a commission if you make a purchase. This does not change the price you pay.

The site is served over HTTPS, payments are handled by Paystack, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to run the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to:
